Alarm Forwarding
General
For the purpose of forwarding, new alarms are collected during a period (configurable system variable “alarm_forward_interval” in alarming.conf, default 15 minutes) on a per domain basis. To be collected, an alarm must be
active for longer than a minimum period (the minimum period is configurable via the system variable “alarm_forward_min_ontime” in alarming.conf, default 5 seconds) and
unacknowledged.
If the collection is not empty, a separate message for each domain is generated at the end of the collection period. Each message contains the start and end time of the period, and all new alarms that occurred during the period.
The messages are then sent as emails to the addresses configured in each domain, provided the alarm forwarding for the domain as well as the global alarm forwarding (menu “Edit – Options” in the NEM Configurator) are enabled.
Configuration
The following alarm forwarding parameters can be configured individually for each domain in the Domain Properties dialog:
Enable alarm forwarding
