MPLS-TP In FOXMAN‑UN
Supported Features
The current FOXMAN‑UN release supports the following key features:
Static network provisioning.
Creation of Virtual Private Wire Service (VPWS).
Creation of Virtual Private LAN Service (VPLS).
Provisioning of tunnel between two nodes in the MPLS-TP enabled network. The provisioned tunnel can have a working and an optional protection Label Switched Path (LSP).
Bandwidth management at the link level.
Bandwidth management at Pseudo Wire level.
VPLS services synchronization.
Bridge Ports, VLANs and SVIs synchronization.
All MPLS-TP LSPs are bidirectional co-routed as detailed in RFC5654.
LSP manual or automatic routing. The recommended case is for FOXMAN‑UN to automatically calculate the working and protecting paths.
LSPs are monitored through the use of OAM.
1:1 LSP bidirectional protection with sub-50 ms recovery.

Please note:
When using core unit redundancy with Ethernet stand-alone service units, FOXCST configuration instructions as described in the following example should be adhered to:
Assume an Ethernet stand-alone service unit is assigned in slot 5. In this case the stand-alone service unit is connected to iport-5 of the core units in slots 11 and 13.
Configure both core unit internal ports, unit-11/iports/iport-5 and unit-13/iports/iport-5, to the port type “PWAC”.
Configure the QoS parameters on both core unit internal ports, unit-11/iports/iport-5 and unit-13/iports/iport-5.
When configuring the VPWS, attach the working core unit internal port unit-11/iports/iport-5 to the Pseudo Wire.
At a core unit switch-over and with the redundant core unit becoming active, the following behavior applies:
Traffic will flow over unit-13/iports/iport-5. However, this is not reflected in the FOXCST. FOXCST still shows unit-11/iports/iport-5 as configured “PWAC”. Even if the working core unit is not plugged in slot-11, FOXCST still shows unit-11/iports/iport-5 as configured “PWAC”.
Statistics counters are available on unit-13/iports/iport-5.
Limitations
The current FOXMAN‑UN release does not support the following MPLS-TP features:
Modifications of labels (LSP and Pseudo Wire).
Re-routing.
